Homicides / Violent Offenses

  • I have successfully represented persons charged with violent crimes ranging from First Degree Murder to simple assault;
  • The defenses available to violent offenses are as varied as the situations from which they arise;
  • Self-defense, justifiable homicide, mis-identification, alibi defenses, bad forensics or basic general denial are all valid defenses which must be analyzed to each unique situation;
  • In situations where self-defense is applicable, a person is thrust into a situation where serious injury or death are just moments away. Often the survivor of the confrontations is put into a difficult choice :even though I think I am justified in my use of force, I would like to exercise my constitutional right to speak with an attorney about any potential criminal or civil liability before I talk with the police." Often the exercise of your constitutional right is rewarded with criminal charges;
  • Many times criminal charges can be based on "eye witness" identification. However, we now know how inaccurate and unreliable that evidence can be;
  • Regardless of the type of charge you're facing, or the defense you may have, I have the experience to analyze and prepare your case to get the best possible result.
